Job Details

Pay: $40-45/hr
Location: Hybrid; 2-3 days onsite in Waukegan, IL
Duration: Start ASAP - 8 month contract intially (will potentially extend)

HIRING MANAGER NOTES:

  • We're embarking on the journey of cleaning up our job descriptions, working with stakeholders on the alignment of the job descriptions, we have about 21 job 'families' and it's a large undertaking. Also seeking some communication and change management support (organizing and sending out communication). Meeting scheduling, calendaring, organizing functions. They're not drafting JD's, that's just the project they're coordinating...
  • Strong Excel skills desired - don't need to build out a Macro but.. building trackers, utilizing Formulas, and a few tools within Excel. Power BI exp a plus.
  • Wants someone that can be onsite 2-3 days per week.
  • Day 2 Day60% dealing with job descriptions, project work | 40% are the other tasks.
  • Bachelor Degree requiredopen to titles, would seek a Project X person within the HR space, keeping it broad. General Excel skills

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a key member of the BHR - Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, this full-time contractor role will work closely with the Manager, Business Human Resources and other team members to review, edit and clean-up existing job descriptions within the Business Technology Solutions Group. This position will partner with a cross-section of stakeholders from across Human Resources, Total Rewards, and Business in the job description clean-up processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Manages/directs the activities and people associated with the job description clean-up project with a focus on non-IT business applications and disciplines.
  • Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.
  • Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
  • Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines.
  • Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion.
  • Provide tracking, reporting, and presentation to management and users. 5+ years' experience
  • Partner w/ Total Rewards to aid in benchmarking and utilize results for the development of job descriptions, job hierarchies, and equity studies.
  • Key contact for the Job Description site and assisting business with identifying appropriate job codes. Monitor job code activity and inactivate job codes no longer in use. Partner with Total Rewards for job re-evaluations and new position set up.
