My client is seeking a full-time Associate Counsel to join their commercial real estate department.

Salary: DOE | up to $230K Total Comp | Benefits included

About the Company: The company has 70+ years of experience in the commercial real estate industry in the Washington, DC metro area. The company has a mixed profile that includes, office, residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use properties. The ideal candidate will have an in house or law firm background and a focus on commercial real estate. Experience as a counsel with local real estate developers is also a huge plus!
Qualifications
- MUST have commercial leasing experience
- MUST have retail experience
- MUST have experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases, lease amendments, letters of intent, etc.
- MUST be licensed in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate complex real estate agreements, leases, amendments, and other real estate transactional materials
- Prepare memoranda
- Conduct legal research
- Negotiate with counsel for tenants, vendors, and other third parties
- Provide support on litigation matters
- Work with lease administration, development, tenant coordination, property management, etc.
