Metal Sorter Job Description.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Sort materials by manually picking them up from a moving conveyor belt.
Payrate is $16for Afternoon Shift - Starts from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, 10 hour shifts, Mon-Thu or Tues - Fri.
Must be able to work days, afternoons, or midnights and day Shift.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a dependable, self-motivated individual.
- This job is performed in a building that is heated to some degree. Employees are subject to heat or cold based on outside temperature fluctuations.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift. Also able to walk, bend/twist, and push/pull.
- Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.
- Maintain cleanliness of the recycling facility.
- May occasionally assist by operating hi-lo
- Shoveling scrap into various bins for processing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
