Financial Controller


Job Details

Immediate need for a Corporate Controller to be responsible for all general ledger and financial accounting activities. Additionally, the Corporate Controller will oversee and ensure the financial health and financial reporting controls for all entities. This includes preparing and maintaining accurate financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) and also assisting senior executives in making financially prudent decisions about saving, spending, and investing.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage month-end closing activities to include the management and streamlining of the general ledger financial accounting and reporting processes.
  • Develop and optimize of accounting processes and monthly procedures to include inter-company reporting, consolidations and month-end adjusting journal entries
  • Manage and oversee general ledger accounting and reporting structure, management reporting and all inter-company activity
  • Ensure correctness and accuracy of the company s financial situation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements, etc.) in accordance with GAAP
  • Collect and prepare financial information and management reports to reconcile monthly inter-company activity
  • Prepare analyses to internal/external stakeholders and regulatory bodies for tax related issues (direct, indirect)
  • Maintain operational best practices and ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Take full ownership on the trial balance, monitoring all significant balance sheet accounts and consolidated general ledger activity and open financial statement items


Job What is requirements:

  • BBA in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a must, Advanced Microsoft Excel User
  • 8-years plus of progressive accounting experience with mid-sized company or group of companies with demonstrated experience working within a corporate general ledger structure
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Solid communication skills with calm demeanor and the ability to manage at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
