Our agency client, based in the Merrimack Valley region, is looking for an onsite Contract Digital Designer with 3+ years' experience; this role can range from 20 up to 40 hours a week. You'll be working on websites, social media, banners, HTML emails and marketing collateral. Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS required for this role.
Job Description:
- Concept and create web designs from concept to development in collaboration with the Art Director and Web Developer.
- Design, code, and maintain WordPress sites for clients and internal use.
- Manage all stages of the design process, from design brief to post-launch testing
- Create clean and user-friendly website designs
- Develop mood boards, site maps, wireframes, and user flows
- Create mock-up designs to present to key stakeholders
- Test and iterate on design concepts
- Develop design guidelines and standards
- Design and create social media content, write captions, schedule and manage clients and internal social media accounts.
- Create digital ads for platforms such as Google and Facebook
- Develop HTML email marketing campaigns, including content creation and implementation
Qualifications
- 3+ years in graphic and web design, ideally at an ad agency or start up environment
- Portfolio with a range of website designs, social media graphics, and email marketing.
- Experience creating wireframes and storyboards using Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
- Experience developing your creative designs into final WordPress websites
- Knowledge of front-end development languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
