A large healthcare conglomerate based in the greater New York area is making strides in a number of specialized practices within the always evolving industry. They are committed to providing top care and their rapid growth is a sign of their success. They are looking for a Medical Scribe who will work closely with healthcare providers to accurately document patient encounters in real-time. This is an onsite position based in White Plains, NY.
Medical Scribe s Responsibilities and Duties
- Accurately document patient medical histories, symptoms, and physical exam findings during clinical encounters.
- Transcribe physician-dictated notes and instructions into electronic medical records (EMRs) or paper charts.
- Assist healthcare providers with navigating EMR systems and locating pertinent patient information.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Medical Scribe s Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in a medical setting, such as a hospital or clinic, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in typing and computer skills, including experience with EMR systems.
