**Description**

Individual contributor responsible for the preparation of hot and/or cold food items. Ensures optimal service standards are met by creating an enjoyable experience for customers demonstrated by prompt service, quality food, and a clean station at all times. Maintain sanitation and food safety practices in accordance with policies, local agencies, OSHA and FDA.

**Responsibilities**

* Responsible for general cooking duties in preparing food items for designated station.

* Responsible for customer service and presentation of food.

* Maintain sanitation and food safety practices for designated area and overall facility.

* Complete daily DSA supporting food safety and sanitation.

* Assist with catering needs.

* Assist with miscellaneous Caf projects.

* Follow established schedules and specifications in cooking, baking, sanitation, and related activities.

* Must become Serve Safe Certified within 6 months of hire date.

* Must become proficient in 2 or more work stations within 6 months of hire date.

* Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition.

* Opening and Closing duties as determined by Caf Policies.

* Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide the highest level of customer service

* Proficient PC skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

* Knowledgeable with food, safety and sanitation.

* Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs

* Must be able to stand for 8 hour shift

**Qualifications**

* Servsafe Certified within 6 months of hire

* 2 years of culinary experience preferred
