**Description**
**We are hiring Full and Part-Time Unit Host- Patient Food Servers for a beautiful healthcare location in Silverdale!** The **Unit Host- Patient Food Server** is directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patients order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal from a restaurant-style menu, and personalizing the delivery of meals to guests throughout the hospital. The primary focus is to form relationships with patients and care providers in order to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Professional image both in appearance and attitude in every guest interaction is the standard. The Unit Host has solid knowledge of all diets and exhibits a strong sense of urgency to ensure the timely, expedient, and accurate delivery of meals to our patients. **$15+/hr. DOE** **Days and shift vary** **Job duties include:**
* Excellent customer service and ability to build rapport with patients and hospital staff.
* Competently and accurately process diets and nourishment order requests in the computer system to optimize efficiency and productivity
* Assist patients with placing meal and snack orders, taking into consideration any food allergies, cultural preferences, and CMC therapeutic diet restrictions (Diabetic, house, real, GI Bland, etc.)
* Assure accuracy and appropriateness of meal including food texture, fluid consistency, appearance, portion control, taste, and temperature. Able to make appropriate substitutions according to meal satisfaction standards.
* Deliver patient meals and nourishments according to AIDET guidelines. Assist patients with meal set-up and assure meal satisfaction.
* Remove soiled patient trays. Assure sanitation of meal carts and food service areas.
* Perform first in, first out. Accurately cover, label, and date all food items. Ensure all outdated items are discarded. Accurately document food temperatures.
* Maintain courteous, considerate, cooperative, and accurate communication with facility personnel, patients, and families.
* Attend department meetings and in-services
* Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings including nicotine.
**Qualifications:**
* The ability to communicate with all levels of customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
* Skills using tablet computers and wireless technology.
* Able to work extended hours on your feet
* Previous food/serving experience is ideal
