Come join a knowledgeable and supportive team of immigration and child welfare professionals! EnCircle is hiring a Clinician (licensed or license-eligible) to provide clinical support to children in our new Transitional Foster Care program inRichmond, VA. You will be responsible for carrying a caseload and providing clinical services using best practices.
Reporting to the Lead Clinician, our Clinician for Transitional Foster Care will provide person-centered comprehensive services using appropriate modalities tailored to that child. As a clinician you will also provide individual and group therapy. You will be responsible for completing initial assessments, preliminary and ongoing treatment plans, and coordinating services to ensure high-quality care is being offered.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct therapeutic services to clients and program participants as needed, including group work and family therapy.
- Administer required behavioral and mental health assessments for youth.
- Coordinate services for each youth in conjunction with the assigned Case Manager.
- Participate in staff meetings and offer clinical feedback regarding client treatment needs.
- Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing on-going education and support services to foster parents on how to support each child with their mental health needs.
- Provide record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities in accordance with program policies, rules, regulations, and additional guidelines.
- Provide interventions and guidance to youth and foster families regarding the behaviors present by the child that supports the implementation of long-term treatment strategies.
- Comply with laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES- Master's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement and license or license eligible to provide clinical services in Virginia independently (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, LPC, LMSW, LCSW).
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish, required.
- Prior experience working with youth under 13 years old is preferred.
- Trauma-informed training with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication, and clinical and persuasive writing skills.
- Ability to work under stress or in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.
- Valid Driver's License, proof of automobile insurance and positive driving record to transport minors in own vehicle as required.
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
