Position Overview:
The Payee Service Representative supports the delivery of payments to payees on behalf of Zelis Payer clients, spanning registration, verification, and customer support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to basic questions, by phone or secure mail messages, about payment products and services.
* Forwards complicated questions to the appropriate internal team or direct supervisor
* Troubleshoots and resolves customer issues in a professional and timely manner
* Exercises sound judgment and critical thinking skills in the execution of job duties and knows when to ask for guidance and/or share information with team lead and/or supervisor
* Identify process improvements, knowledge gaps and make suggestions to Leadership
* Is adaptable to business changes
* Contacts clients by phone to collect information needed to verify or update accounts
* Verify that client enrollment forms and deposit-related inquiries contain all necessary and appropriate information
* Adhere to Zelis Payments standards and policies to ensure client privacy
Professional Experience and Knowledge:
* Attention to detail and good analytical skills essential
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* This is a client/customer facing position, so excellent customer service skills are required
* Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office products
* Thorough knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures.
Education:
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required
* Associates Degree/two years college or equivalent work experience
Work Environment:
* A standard business environment exists with moderate noise levels
* Ability to lift and move approximately thirty (30) pounds on a non-routine basis
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time
