Village Caregiving - Lexington is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Frenchburg, Kentucky. This individual will be responsible for providing direct care and support to elderly or disabled clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part time position, close to 20 hours a week to start, with opportunity to get more hours with additional clients. We also offer supplement benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life and accident insurance.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
Medications reminders
Plan and prepare meals and snacks
Assist with light housekeeping tasks and laundry as needed
Escort clients to appointments and activities
Engage in meaningful conversation and activities with clients to promote socialization and cognitive stimulation
Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and mental health
Communicate effectively with clients, their families
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required, we provide paid training including CPR
Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
Ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screeniing
