As a key member of our manufacturing team, the Production Operator performs all functions associated with the start-up, shutdown, lockout, sanitation, and operation of the packaging process equipment. Troubleshoots equipment and makes necessary adjustments to ensure the efficient flow of product. Ensures product quality within controlled parameters to minimize waste. Efficiently and safely operate and monitor all packaging equipment to maintain product flow from discharge of the extruder to palletize. Responsible for package integrity and quality checks, including metal, seals, code date, and product weight and case counts/weights. Monitor and maintain correct product/case weights. Handle scrap and waste from machine, as necessary. Troubleshoot equipment to ensure continuous operation. Perform data entry into the computer. Work in a safe and responsible manner, exercising caution to avoid accidents, prevent injury to people or damage to the equipment.
