Are you a seasoned Inventory Director professional looking to work in the manufacturing and waterworks industry? If so, look no further! As an Inventory Director at Romac, your role is crucial in overseeing the inventory of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods to support our customer service and operational productivity goals. You will be responsible for establishing inventory level targets and collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, Planning, and Operations to meet them. Your strong understanding of both customer and operations-related priorities will require coordination with sales, production, and planning supervisors. In addition, you will provide training and direction to less experienced staff to ensure their success in their roles.

Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:00 am 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day direction and supervision of direct reports. Conducts performance evaluations and employee development plans, as well as salary reviews and compensation recommendations.
  • Convert the sales forecast into resource demands and work with Sales and Operations to create and maintain effective production and inventory plans.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory location control accuracy. Ensure good flow and space utilization through by optimizing container types and quantities.
  • Continuously improve the cost-effectiveness of inventory labeling, transactions, and reporting.
  • Assist regional warehouses with their inventory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in materials management
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of materials management
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems
  • High level of capability with MS Office Suite, database programs

Compensation: $116,000-$185,600 per year
