Position Overview:

GW Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) RN / Special Procedures RN to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and patient safety.
  • Administer medications and contrast agents as required.
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures, potential risks, and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
