Job Duties:- Read and comply with environmental and quality policies.
- Report to management deviations from the policy when they are observed.
- Assume personal responsibility for safety performance and demonstrate a genuine concern for the safety of co-workers.
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all safety and health related policies and procedures, participate in safety programs, and report to management those conditions or action by employees that might create a hazard to themselves or others.
- Set up extruders to run the product that is in accordance with standard operating conditions with minimal downtime and loss of product.
- Learn to use tote tumbling and screw element oven equipment.
- Maintain proper records of log sheets, feed blends, product in totes, packaging reports, work orders, and logbooks.
- Clean the extruder barrel and screws, the feeder, the chopper, the classified, the reclaimer system, bagging system, and product totes.
- Review and understand the proper policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot process problems with the product which includes surging, black specks, improper pellet size, pellets with tails, and contaminated products.
- Troubleshoot equipment failure and repairing.
- All other duties will be assigned.
