Position Overview:
A high-performing real estate investment company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Legal & Asset Management. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in real estate law and investment or asset management. The VP will collaborate closely with the President and Managing Partners, playing a pivotal role in driving new acquisitions and investments for the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures.
- Oversee the legal due diligence process for new acquisitions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the President and Managing Partners to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities.
- Negotiate and draft a wide range of legal documents, including purchase agreements, leases, loan agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's real estate portfolio.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize the value and performance of the company's real estate investments.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all contractual obligations and legal requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of legal and asset management professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of excellence.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, with a strong focus on investment and asset management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex real estate transactions and portfolios.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to handle high-stakes, high-value deals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate markets, trends, and regulations.
