Description
The Dougherty County Public Works Department has a vacancy for Environmental Control Technician.
Essential Tasks
Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: operating and maintaining spraying truck, ULV machine and spraying supplies; dispensing and recording mosquito control spraying and larvicide in valleys and low-lying areas of the County; operating Data Logger and generating reports from downloaded information; maintaining and procuring inventory of chemicals; assisting mower crews when needed and any other duties as assigned. Must be able to work alternate hours during spraying season.
Minimum Qualification
High school diploma or GED with two (2) years of pest control and herbicide application experience; or any related equivalent combination of education, training and experience which will provide the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the duties of the position. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must possess and maintain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
