Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a CAD Specialist IV to support our water civil infrastructure team in Charleston, SC. The individual must have good mechanical design acumen and the ability to work with remote design teams.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Works under general direction of a lead engineerPerforms complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of a project manager.Performs advanced applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlinesDigitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStationDecisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlinesResponsible for setting own project deadlinesUnderstands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutionsDetermines methods and procedures on new assignmentsMay lead less experienced drafters=QualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationU.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the workPreferred Requirements10 years of related experienceExperience working on water, wastewater conveyance and treatment plant projectsProcess mechanical drafting experience is highly preferredGeneral Knowledge of other disciplinesRevit experience a plusAbility to coordinate and work on multi-discipline design projectsAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this roleVisa sponsorship is not available for this roleAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelinesOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
