Description:Established in 1972, Micron Solutions specializes in precision machining, thermoplastic injection molding, mold making, and sensors. We're looking for a full-time 1st Shift Process Technician with Injection-Molding experience to join our team at our Fitchburg, MA facility. This role will support all product realization activities associated with Injection manufacturing, quality control, product distribution, and general maintenance with assigned product/service group. PROCESS TECHNICIAN BENEFITS:Medical-Dental-Vision Plans with high level employer cost sharing Free Life & Disability InsuranceFive level paid time off plan401k with company matchTuition Reimbursement to assist with your undergraduate or graduate degree programsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF PROCESS TECHNICIANProvide support to Shift Supervisors for all operational activities Set up all molding machines per schedule supplied by Production Controller Work with Production Controller and Mfg Operations Mgr to schedule Injection Machines to meet customer deliverablesSet up all auxiliary equipment needed for all jobs Set up and troubleshoot all injection molding machines during shift answering alarms Assure all documentation for Mold set up and job books are followed and filled out timely per frequency on Process Data Log Sheets Assure Line Clearance is being complete at end of every jobManage the direct responsibility to propose, support, and enhance safety initiatives throughout the organizationProvide back up for shift supervisors to approve all employees time in ERP IQMS systemWork with Shift Lead on each shift to cover breaks for all and assure coverage for all machines - shut down machines that are lower priority if do not have enough coverage Perform daily IQMS Production Report By Shift with accuracy to RealTime cycles and labor approvals, this is highly important as it dives our efficiencyEngage in Shift to Shift Huddles with Supervisors to assure safety and cleanliness is being as same standardReport Daily scrap for all Injection Machines during your Shift. Task with CIP to reduce scrap on floor Engage at all times in continuous improvement ideas and consideration for all operationsReport up any and all Machine cycle and labor inefficiencies Partner with shift supervisor to assure coverage in all areas for time off call outs working with Production ControllerAssures operational documentation is accurate and reflective of current practices and product/ customer requirementsCompany representative for customer, vendor and other third-party interactions as requiredWork with Production Controller and Mfg Operations Mgr to schedule Injection Machines to meet customer deliverables Must adhere to all company policies Must have a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 9001Promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations and occupational health hazardsSupport Lean Manufacturing initiativesSupport and train in IQMS functionalityAct as backup to Process Technician Shift Supervisor when neededRequirements: JOB QUALIFICATIONS OF PROCESS TECHNICIANBachelor of Science (BS) preferred but not required.3- 5 years of injection molding processing experience requiredAbility to work with mathematical concepts Ability to use dimensional equipment and read and understand blue printsISO 9001 management and implementation experience is desired.Proficiency in the use of computer-based ERP systems is required.Hours are: Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm ABOUT US: Micron Solutions is in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and we are a world-class contract manufacturer for the medical device, defense, and life science markets.
