OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION

This position requires an organized person that is guest driven, friendly, eager to learn and self-motivator. Moreover, the person needs to learn, adapt and innovate quickly with a vibrant personality.

To contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the In Room Dining function within the Food and Beverage Division. A mini bar attendant ensures that the mini bar in each guest room at a hotel remains stocked during a customer's stay. As a mini bar attendant's duties include stocking bars, maintaining inventory, organizing orders, and billing customers. Should have knowledge of room service menu and ongoing promotions in other F&B outlets. To be prepared to work flexible shifts at designated area to create a fully multi skilled and productive Food and Beverage team with a sense of Aloha.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the delivery of the brand promise and always provides exceptional guest service.


  • Provides excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.


  • Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.


  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.


Operations

  • Perform opening and closing duties for each shift


  • Stock mini bar cart according to daily fill requirements


  • Ensure Minibars are clean and presentable for incoming guest's arrivals.


  • Stock and replace missing items, inspect, move and clean the minibars in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.


  • Maintain, track and complete daily worksheet of mini bar stock.


  • Track inventory and communicate with order-taker to ensure guests are charged correctly for what they consume.


  • Ensure products in minibar are not expired and take proper procedures to remove those products.


  • Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required. Inform Manager/Supervisor on items that are low for ordering.


  • Report all minibar concerns to management including any guest issues.


  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.


  • While in guests rooms, communicate with IRD for any tray removal.


  • Ensures no entry to any guest room with "Do-Not-Disturb" sign. Communicate with Order-taker on all DND rooms.


  • Return and put away any left-over supplies to their designated area.


  • Ensure that cart is cleaned and is in proper working order at the end of every shift.


  • Based on operational needs, performs duties in IRD such as a server and/or assisting with deliveries of amenities when needed.


  • Have basic knowledge of other outlets and their operating hours.


  • Carry out the service to the highest professional standards in a genuine and intuitive manner.


  • Responds to the results of the consumer audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.


  • Strictly adheres to the hotel policies and procedures, especially when entering guest rooms.


  • Ensures that Rosewood standards are implemented and followed.


QUALIFICATIONS

6 to 12 months in Hotel Food and Beverage operations, preferably with In Room Dining

Fluent spoken and written in English

Background in upscale free-standing restaurant or Food & Beverage operations preferred

Familiarization with Forbes standards is preferred

Conversant with all aspects of the Micros System preferred

Fluent spoken and written in English

High School Diploma.

SALARY:

$14.00 per hour
