Role: Advanced Electrical Engineer
Location: Canonsburg, PA 15317
Required: US Citizenship
W2 Hourly Contract with Limited Benefits
Salary: $45.00 - 52.80 per hr
Are you an Electrical Engineer (Mid-level) in Canonsburg, PA experienced with Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDP? Are you experienced in analog and digital circuit design including signal integrity principles?
Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc?

Required Education & Experience:
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDP
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design including signal integrity principles
- Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with MATLAB programming a plus
Desired:- Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design.
- Habitually ahead of technology trends, with background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics
- Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design
- Research & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing
- Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including signal conditioning, power, analog-to-digital conversion, and
- Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
- Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems including test software applications
- Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions
- Design, analyze, and test underwater acoustic systems
- Design and build prototype cable assemblies
- Perform solder rework of prototype circuit card assemblies
- Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
- Generate design and interface documentation Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phases
Duties:- Use electrical engineering knowledge to support the definition and assessment of interoperability of various electrical and electronic systems on undersea systems and associated support equipment
- Design and maintain schematics and other related engineering documentation
- Define electrical system architecture, electronic assembly design, performance predictions, and external vendor support for various engineering assemblies
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to support the integration and troubleshooting of a wide range of electronic assemblies
- Conduct/lead non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
- Provide electrical subject matter expertise during acceptance and qualification testing of electronic assemblies
- Participate in system level testing, in water events, and associated missions as needed.
