We are looking for a Financial Manager to oversee all financial activities at RockawayMore. An ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, exceptional organizational and problem solving skills in a high pressure-oriented environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce the company s bi-weekly payroll ledger for submission to the payroll company for processing.
  • Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, credit cards reconciliation and balance sheet audits.
  • Create payment schedules for outstanding debts to allow the company to obtain interest and derive the most benefit possible from all assets.
  • Detect and correct any financial irregularities that may arise.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecast and budget data.
  • Provide strategic financial planning advice and keep the company s Principal informed of the agency s financial health.
  • Conduct the payment of contract labor, utilities, autopays, and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison with the company s accountant to prepare all documents for IRS/taxes for both the company s and the principal s tax returns.
  • Oversee and manage all permitting, licensing and contractual requirements ensuring compliance with state, city, county and governmental municipalities as required.
  • Ensure operational costs remain within budget and develop projections for increased allowances as needed.
  • Manage all bill-backs for the office and provide cost invoicing to clients.
  • Conduct audits of budget items,and provide budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Maintain inventory of all fixed assets.
  • Reconcile all company benefits, maintain proper documentation of enrollment.
  • Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures for the accounting department.
  • Maintain organizational structure within the accounting department to facilitate the achievement of the department's short and long-term goals.
  • Hires and trains new employees in the accounting department.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s or associate s degree in business management, finance, accounting or related field.
  • Ten (10) years professional experience, preferably in a hospitality and/or marketing agency.
  • Thorough understanding of budgetary and accounting principles, practices, and policies.
  • Expert knowledge of QuickBooks online, Microsoft Office 365 + Google Filestream/cloud-based operating systems and understanding of time-tracking softwares like Clicktime.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing corporate budgets.
  • Ability to commute to and work from our company office in Broward-County two times per week.
  • Applicants must reside in South Florida.
