QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous background working in a security would be considered a plus
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES/SKILLS:
P.C. Skills with a working Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to follow written, as well as, verbal instructions
Dependability- must be reliable and punctual

ABOUT THE JOB!
This position provides continuous plant security for Gentex Corporation.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Patrol Rounds (Buildings and Parking Lots)
Issue Contractor/Visitor Badges
Monitor Cameras
Monitor Parking Lots
Monitor Fire and Alarm Panels
Work unsupervised
Monitor employees entering/exiting building
Answer phones as needed when lobby is unattended
Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required
Shift structure typically 40% walking/standing and 60% sitting at a desk
LOCATION:
Gentex's Carbondale facility is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania in Lackawanna County. Carbondale, PA is about twenty miles north of Scranton, PA, 50 miles south of Binghamton, NY, and about 125 miles from New York City and Philadelphia. The area hosts numerous nearby state parks, nature preserves and local colleges and universities, including The University of Scranton and Marywood University. Northeast Pennsylvania is a beautiful area and offers an excellent cost of living. It is a great place to work, recreate, meet people, raise a family and live!
