Pride Health is hiring a Travel Labor and Delivery RN to support our client s medical facility Multiple Locations. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Description:
- Standards for Patient Care: Participates in setting standards for patient care and nursing practice in obstetrical nursing.
- Management of Obstetrical Patients: Manages the obstetrical patient and neonate during labor, delivery, and recovery, including operative procedures with recovery care determined by patient condition (minimum two hours).
- Medical Condition Management: Manages obstetrical medical conditions such as preeclampsia, eclampsia, gestational diabetes, pre-term labor, and others according to ACOG standards and Gonzales Healthcare Policy.
- Non-Stress Tests: Performs non-stress tests.
- Psychosocial Care: Provides psychosocial care to the patient and family, including assessment of needs and nursing interventions with complete, legible documentation.
- Maternal/Child Nursing Care Policies: Develops, implements, and maintains current maternal/child nursing care policies, procedures, and practices.
- Nursing Staff Development: Actively engages in the development of nursing staff to provide quality maternal/child nursing care.
- Age-Specific Care: Provides care appropriate for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, assessing and interpreting data to identify age-specific needs.
- Admission, Discharge, and Daily Assessment: Performs admission, discharge, and daily assessment of all patients on the unit.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Administers medications and treatments, evaluates, documents responses, and communicates the same to other healthcare professionals according to Gonzales Healthcare Systems policy.

Job Type: 13-Weeks contract
Schedule: 36 hrs.; 3*12 nightshift 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
Weekly Gross Range: $2000 to $2500
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
