IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A COLLECTIONS MANAGER!
A reputable and growing law firm in Center City is looking to add a Collections Manager to their Accounting and Finance team.

The Collections Manager will work alongside the Accounting department and take direction from senior leadership to conduct Accounts Receivables process successfully and professionally from clients.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Plans, evaluates, implements, and continuously improves all aspects of the credit & collection functions and processes.
* Works closely with the Finance Committee on all aspects of credit and collections. Meets with them frequently to discuss outstanding A/R and unbilled time issues. Also makes recommendations to the finance committee regarding specific courses of action regarding A/R - including, but not limited to payment plans, stopping work on client and/or refusing to accept additional matters.
* Assists in the formulation of specific collection objectives and achieving the goals set.
* Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and attorneys.
* Works closely with Partners to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential clients.
* Works with attorneys to determine credit worthiness of potential clients. Makes recommendations for retainers upon client acceptance.
* Interacts directly with clients to resolve receivable delinquencies.
* Works in the various software systems required to perform that job including Juris, Star Collect, and other credit evaluation programs.
* Review the status of all prepaid and trust balances on a periodic basis and works with accounting to ensure all accounts are being handled correctly in terms of proper revenue recognition, trust application and/or return of unused trust balances.
* Communicates directly with third-party collectors.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive, successful experience in the commercial sector.
* Two years of experience in a collections or credit role for a legal practice.
* Bachelor"s degree in finance, business administration or related field strongly preferred, not required.
* High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
