The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Packaging Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA Details for the position are as follows:
Payrate: $22/hr W2
Job Title: Packaging Technician
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 months with potential extension/conversion.
Shift hours: M-F; 6am - 2:30pm
Required Skill:
- High School Diploma
- Manufacturing/Pharma/GMP/Medical Device environment.
- Packaging/Technician/Assembler/Operator experience in manufacturing environment.
Job Description: Responsible for the manual assembly of blood screening kits according to manufacturing instructions.
Primary responsibilities for role: - Typically includes competencies of Packaging Technician I position plus:
- Direct interaction with internal customers
- Investigate inventory discrepancies
- Maintain labeling/packaging area and equipment in a clean and functional state
- Assists in manufacturing instructions and procedural updates
- Provides scheduling feedback
Additional Responsibilities: - Follows all safety rules; enters cold/frozen environments; maneuvers pallets and equipment; assists in maintaining inventory accuracy; tracks labor hours for process orders; adheres to target manufacturing deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Good knowledge of ERP system; basic knowledge of GMP requirements; ability to follow oral and written instructions; basic computer knowledge and use of email; basic organizational skills; attention to detail; repetitive standing, walking, bending and lifting; good mathematic skills required; knowledge of manufacturing functionalities; team oriented
Education: - Requires High School Diploma
- Experience: 0-2 years related experience
- Equivalency: Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
Occupational Demands: - May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 25 pounds in weight, and/or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 10 pounds in weight frequently or continuously.
