Custom military power supplies, power controls and other quality products manufacturer is hiring for a Electronic Assembler/Wirer for their military and defense facility located in East Setauket. This is a permanent opportunity. Candidates with prior IPC-610 and J-standard experience are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, and schematics to understand how components should be assembled and wired together.
- Assemble electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, and integrated circuits onto circuit boards or other platforms according to specifications.
- Precise soldering of components onto circuit boards or other substrates is often a critical part of the job.
- Build and install wire harnesses and cable assemblies, which involves cutting wires to specified lengths, stripping insulation, crimping connectors, and routing wires neatly according to diagrams.
- Basic testing of assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements
