Overview:
Our Materials Department is excited to announce an opening for a Receiving Manager. This role involves leading the management and operations of the Dyersburg Receiving Departments at ERMCO.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement & train staff on new warehouse receiving procedures consistent with best practices.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed & all staff receive the required annual safety training.
- Advanced knowledge of RF scanning, receiving & inventory control in an MRP environment.
- Experience managing a staff that receives & stocks all products, ensuring established procedures are followed.
- Ensure the staff is trained & motivated to ensure a stable and competent department.
- Experience in establishing strategic goals & meeting best practices to ensure business KPIs are achieved.
- Leadership in a Supply Chain capacity, such as inventory stock counting/inventory location accuracy checks.
- Inventory Management Experience, Implement and manage system controls for receipt and storage.
- Manage a safe & disciplined work environment with an OSHA like mindset.
- Drive 6S & relative performance metrics in the workplace to world class standards.
- Develop the capability in your direct reports to maximize their contribution.
- Experience in scheduling inbound freight shipments by various carriers to distribute the workload of the staff.
- Responsible for ensuring entries into the ERP system are made accurately according to established procedures.
- Experience managing a balanced work force to prevent receiving delays and minimize department overtime.
- Ensure procedures are followed by the staff to meet expectations on the inflow of material - unloading, storage & transfer activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; and a minimum of five years experience in inventory management or supply chain; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPIM is a plus.
- Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control/management systems and ERP.
- Supervisory & performance management of staff experience required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate challenges & take action, attention to detail is required.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools is a plus.
- Possess strong skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive.
