The Opportunity:

The Office Support Assistant serves as a customer service representative and provides administrative support to a residential community office.

This is an auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots concerns of residential students and assists with resource referral.
  • Answers inbound calls for the assigned residential community office.
  • Coordinates administrative processes within the assigned community office.
  • Trains, supervises, and evaluates part-time student office staff; coordinates HR processes for students employed by the community office, including payroll and time entry.
  • Maintains records and documentations for office administrative processes.
  • Orders office supplies and maintains inventory.
  • Provides administrative support to the Coordinator, Residence Life & Education for the community.
  • Ensures office technology is in working order and may perform routine troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Assists with preparation for opening and closing of the residential community.
  • Organizes, inventories, and audits residential keys.
  • Processes student charges for damages in consultation with supervisor and Accounts Receivable.
  • Other duties as assigned by department and/or supervisory staff.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a university environment.
  • Previous supervision experience.
  • Previous experience supporting facility operations, including work order tracking and maintenance of keys.
  • Previous software/database experience (i.e. StarRez, Maxient, eRezLife, or Qualtrics).
