Exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team based in Lafayette, Indiana, supporting the innovative Powerline automatic transmission for medium-duty commercial vehicles. Join a growing team of 12 engineers and 2 technicians, collaborating closely with design colleagues in Germany and our production facility in Gray Court, SC.
???? What You'll Do:
As a Field Test Engineer, you'll lead the build and operation of demo/engineering/field test vehicles with advanced powertrains. Responsibilities include interfacing with end-customers, OEMs, and coordinating engineering lab activities for tear-down, evaluation, assembly, and function-testing of powertrain products.
???? Your Profile:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in powertrain engineering
- Customer and supplier interface experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple engineering projects, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of measurement techniques, hydraulics, vehicle testing, and data acquisition systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%)
