Staff Product Engineer:
Join our dynamic, high-growth technology company as a Staff Product Engineer. We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic professional with a strong understanding of a rapidly expanding business environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate new product performance pre-manufacturing release.
- Develop and maintain the engineering database.
- Implement and monitor SPC systems for production products.
- Manage wafer sort and final test disposition.
- Enhance product yield.
- Support engineering teams in NPI.
- Oversee change control for products in production.
- Collaborate with the reliability/quality team to analyze return merchandise authorization customer returns.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of the semiconductor product life cycle.
- Strong data analytical skills for power semiconductor evaluation and characterization.
- Experience with GaN or other compound semiconductor devices preferred.
- Proficient in test development, defining hardware/software needs for debugging.
- Experience in conducting yield analysis and circuit debugging for GaN semiconductor devices.
- Experience with 6-sigma quality practices.
- Hands-on experience with the following skills: product and test engineering, failure analysis, design, and yield improvement projects.
- Familiarity with the following statistical analysis techniques this includes SPC, CPK, CPU, CPL, etc.
- Ability to write concise engineering reports.
- Strong understanding of device physics.
- Familiarity with industry-standard reliability testing and failure analysis.
- Expertise in electrical and thermal characterization.
- Knowledge of wafer fabrication and packaging processes.
- Experience in probe and final test operation.
- Proficiency in Datapower or JMP for data analysis.
- Ability to autonomously manage tasks throughout the product life cycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains accountability for actions (ownership of work).
Requirements:
Basic
- BS in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Product or Design Engineering.
Preferred
- MS in electrical engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Product or Design Engineering.
- Strong background in reliability, burn-in circuit design, data analysis, automation, cost reduction, and customer support.
