Job Details

Summary

Responsible for all lubrication issues for facility and production machinery. Keeps all plant equipment at 100% availability condition from a lubrication perspective at all times.

Responsibilities

* Strong understanding of industrial maintenance safety.

* Takes care of all lubrication requirements on all plant capital assets.

* Understands lubrication systems and products.

* Can perform running inspections on critical equipment.

* Repairs lubrication pumps, changes filters, performs lubrication services.

* Can understand and follow an equipment lubrication plan.

* Reassembles machines after repairs or maintenance.

* Records machine maintenance information and documents needed improvements.

* Sets up and operates machinery and adjusts controls to regulate operations.

* Reads work orders and specifications.

* Observes mechanical operation of machines to determine efficiency and to detect problems.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of manufacturing production processes, production equipment, quality awareness, able to determine cost effectiveness of proper lubrication systems, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of tires.

* Self-starter and highly motivated.

* Works independently with little directions or oversight.

* Understand and follow oral and written directions.

* Capable of performing basic key boarding functions.

* Has basic computer knowledge, uses email, can access the internet.

* Basic maintenance skills and understanding of manufacturing equipment.
