The Position:

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for design aesthetics, and a strong understanding of industry trends. As a Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visual assets that effectively communicate our brand voice and message, while engaging our target audience across various platforms. In addition to your job duties as a Graphic Designer, we are seeking an individual who wants to take on additional duties to oversee projects related to new community marketing activation.

  • Create visually stunning on-brand designs for print and digital media, including but not limited to video, digital banners, content for our resident app, direct mail, website design, social media graphics, exterior signage, print advertisements, flyers, templates, and internal presentations.
  • Develop and maintain brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Write new content for a range of marketing and sales materials to include, but not limited to, the community websites, blogs, email marketing, editorial advertising, direct mail, sales materials, and print collateral.
  • Write high-quality property descriptions that highlight our value through sales driven storytelling.
  • Responsible for proofing all written brand content.
  • Oversee portfolio-wide usage of Canva to include initial activation, new template creation, training, and day to day onsite software usage.
  • New community activation and onboarding to include the design & procurement of the community site map, apartment floor plans, property tour kits, community collateral, sales materials, office window vinyl, and all exterior leasing signage needs in support of our construction site, temporary office, and operating communities
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operation teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that meet objectives.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, managing timelines and priorities effectively.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, techniques, and software to continuously improve skills and capabilities.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to third-party partners when applicable.
  • Manage and maintain ordering guidelines and replacement products.
  • Source new promotional products as requested while maintaining our brand guidelines and active adult culture.
  • New branding & logo design on occasion and as needed.

What We Are Seeking:

  • Must be a team player who takes a "we over me" approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
  • Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field required.
  • 2-3 years of proven professional experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and other relevant design software.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or UX/UI design is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Ability to articulate and present design concepts effectively.
  • Keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback, and creative recommendations.
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and insured, operable vehicle.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive pay starting at $60,000 (based on experience).
  • Annual bonus incentive.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual Dexterity: frequent fine motor skills.
  • Near Vision: minimal near vision.


Environmental and Safety Factors:

  • Weather: work is primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • Noise: frequent exposure to typical office environment noise levels including conversational voice levels; infrequent exposure to high-volume office equipment (e.g., shredder).
  • Pace of Work: great, multi-tasking/pressure paced environment.
  • Driving: exposure to environmental and safety conditions related to operating a motor vehicle, including the possibility of bodily injury related to motor vehicle collisions.
