Due to rapid growth, Novapath Supply Chain Systems is searching for multiple positions within its North American Transportation Management business unit. The ideal candidates for our open carrier sales positions are currently employed by a third-party logistics company or other intermediary services company in a carrier sales brokerage or capacity planning. The ideal mix of experience will include both van and flatbed brokerage.
We require a minimum of three years' experience within a similar role as well as completion of at least an associates or technical college degree in business.
A day as a carrier sales broker at Novapath:
You maintain complete ownership of covering open loads for your assigned clients and market areas. This includes common industry tools for track and trace such as Macro Point.
You establish the proper base cost using various tools and market data from which you will employ various negotiation techniques that provide the proper value to our clients and fairness to our carrier partners.
You play a critical role on an operations sub team along with other specialists working as a cohesive team supporting each other during periods of surge. You share experiences and knowledge with each other from dealing with various types of opportunities and events associated with transportation coordination and management so that the entire team develops and learns together.
You represent your carrier partners in all matters associated with tendering, rates, service and dispute resolution.
You are accountable for monitoring key performance indicators corresponding to on time service, cost and quality. Your role is to quickly escalate any events or trends to your team lead and/or other management so that multiple functions are bought quickly together for solutioning.
You will execute your daily work on a world class transportation management system (TMS) that does require hands on experience using a TMS in your current or previous role.
