Job Title: Instrument Technician
Location: Long Beach, CA
Pay Range: $19-$34/hr.
Schedule: 10pm-6:30am
What s the Job?
- Perform instrument processing functions according to ANSI/AAMI Standards and the clients published Work Instructions (WI s) as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s).
- Process incoming instruments in our controlled access Soil Sort (decontamination) area, while wearing appropriate PPE attire.
- Verify and accurately assemble instruments, per manufacturer s IFU.
- Properly document missing instruments according to written SOPs.
- Ensure best care and handling practice of each customer owned item.
- Inspect and ensure that each instrument is in good working order prior to placing in tray or pack for shipment.
- Assembly and disassembly of instruments while maintaining all quality criteria.
- Effectively operate equipment such as washers, sterilizers, and other related equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
What s Needed?
- High School diploma or GED required. Instrument Technician Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of instrument experience required.
- Must have working knowledge of how various instruments are used during surgical procedures. Previous Hospital, Surgery Center or Clinic Sterile Processing experience preferred.
