FORKLIFT OPERATORS
Pay: $17.00 hour
Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

The Lee Group is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Forklift Operator for our client in Suffolk, VA. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of materials and products throughout the facility. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring safe and accurate handling.
Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator:
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials, finished products, and supplies within the coffee plant premises.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using the forklift, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure stacking.
- Transport materials to designated areas, following instructions and layout plans provided.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, maintaining proper inventory counts and organization.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition before each use.
Requirements of a
Forklift Operator: - High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety guidelines, and inventory records.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
