Career Promotional Opportunities (Effective June 1, 2023):Corrections Officer: $55,000 year / $4583.33 month. Corrections Officer Step 1: $56,650.00 year / $4720.83-month (End of 1st year; successful completion of Academy) Corrections Officer Sr: $59,323.61 year / $4943.63 month (End of 2nd year; successful completion of promotional exam). We have many specialized units within the Corrections Bureau that will allow you to gain additional experience and training. As a Senior Corrections Officer, you are eligible to apply to be part of one of our specialized units. If you are an experienced corrections officer, please review salary information below (Effective June 1, 2023): 5 years of experience w/ intermediate license or higher: $58,349.50/year.
