**DLR Group has an opening for an Interior Designer / Project Manager**

**Location: Phoenix, AZ**

**Position Summary**

As an Interior Designer / Project Manager at DLR Group you will be working as part of integrated design teams responsible for the design and delivery processes. Depending on the scale and scope of projects, you may also be in the Project Manager role, where you would be responsible for leading projects that align with client goals and parameters to deliver design excellence on budget and on schedule. You will be responsible for collaborating on the design of complex projects from programming through construction administration on projects ranging in size and complexity while providing hands-on supervision to design staff during all phases. You will partner with internal partner disciplines, vendors, and consultants as needed. Additionally, you will occasionally interview in front of clients to win work.

**The successful candidate will**

* Prepare and develop with the team, as required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design.

* Have strong client and time management skills. And serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.

* Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.

* Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts

* Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Principal in Charge and/or the Design Leader for key project stages.

* Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.

* Will gain thorough knowledge of and compliance with DLR Group standards.

* Develop project Work Plans (schedule, budget, cartoon set) for project success.

* Be responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

**Required Qualifications**

* Has 8-10 years of experience designing commercial interior projects.

* Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or equivalent.

* Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite.

* The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.

* Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Proficiency with SketchUp and some 3D rendering software

* NCIDQ certification.

* Have interest in sustainable building design.
