Location Bronx, NY
No Remote Privately held wholesale, variety meat distributor selling boxed beef, poultry, pork, lamb, veal, seafood and a selection of frozen and processed foods. State of the art facility serving metro NY, NJ, CT, MA, DE and some Mid-Atlantic states.
**Responsibilities:**
Coordinate between road transport and shipping departments to control the flow of work. Responsible for the efficient dispatch of all freight and oversee associated administration. Manage the logistics operation, issuing routes to drivers, correct shipment schedules and communicating with vendors and customers to ensure the successful dispatching of goods.
Manage and maintain files, documents, shipping schedules, route directions, personnel schedules, maintenance orders, labor costs, manufacturing costs, maintenance costs, production schedules, inventory details, backlogs, shortages and outstanding bills.
**Qualifications:**
4+ years experience in logistics, distribution and administration.
Experience with Appian routing system or equivalent and Microsoft Office.
AS400 is a plus.
Strong communication and multi-tasking. Able to resolve disputes and eliminate delays, collaborate with supervisors and personnel to assess progress and improve efficiency.
