Recognized in 2018-2022 as one of the fastest growing companies in their state, they are looking for an experienced Production Technician/Electrical Engineering Technician to fill a full-time position.


Summary:


Evaluate and recommend laboratory equipment maintenance and improvement to streamline

production processes and improve overall efficiency. Evaluate designs, create bill of materials

by selecting parts according the project requirements, assure precedence of parts and follow

counterfeit prevention policies and procedures. Assist with all matters of part purchasing.

Review and complete printed circuit board designs and assist with its production by selecting

providers and interacting with them to obtain the best price and quality for the company.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform product and prototype acceptance, evaluation and debugging as needed
  • Prepare technical reports to document equipment and/or design modifications and design maintenance/testing procedures
  • Support the computer-aided engineering (CAE) design engineering process for products or components
  • Assist with the creation of prototypes, layouts, and models for product components, a system, or a manufacturing process using CAE tools
  • Check and verify layouts and results of analysis for accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Collect, validate, and prepare data required for CAE processes
  • Assemble and/or rework printed circuit cards as needed
  • Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose the more complex equipment problems


Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to create, compose, and edit written materials
  • Attention to detail and record maintenance skills
  • Expert soldering skills
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and/or ability to obtain IPC certification for soldering and inspection of printed circuit card assemblies
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Circuit prototyping & design
  • Significant experience with lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics & datasheets
  • Experience with PCB Design for Manufacturability
  • Experience with Soldering, staking and Re-work
