Merit Health Central is a 319-bed health care facility offering a wide range of services provided in a safe, caring, environment. Core services include diagnostic and surgical cardiac services, obstetrics and womens health, cancer care, emergency department with FastTrack, orthopedics, inpatient adult behavioral health services, neurosurgery and general surgical services.
Our Behavioral Health Department consists of 131 beds for *Adult Behavioral Health* and our *Chemical Dependency Unit*.
Requirements:
* Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed in the State of Mississippi
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in a hospital psychiatric experience and at least one-year supervisory experience.
* Current CPR and ACLS required.
RN Manager:
* Provides leadership for staff on the Psychiatric Unit, oversees patient care programs, and collaborates with appropriate Directors.
* Manages the preparation and administration of revenue and operating budgets, including FTE oversight.
* Assists the BH Director in planning, supervising, and evaluating psychiatric nursing care while maintaining confidentiality and enforcing safety practices.
* Supports nursing faculty in providing educational opportunities for students and participates in performance improvement activities.
* Utilizes the nursing process to oversee and provide age-specific patient care, developing, implementing, and updating plans of care, and communicating effectively.
