Overview:

Hourly Range: Min: $20.76 Max: $31.80

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm and every 4th week-end.

An organized and detail-oriented individual who brings unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to join our Materials Management Department. Materials Clerk 2 can expect to work and communicate closely with all levels of management and clinical personnel. You will track incoming and outgoing inventory, perform daily cycle counts, and report to management any discrepancies you are unable to reconcile. You must also keep inventory counts in our ERP system up-to-date. This allows other employees and departments to check stock levels and work more efficiently. Should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Materials Clerk 2 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track inventory, maintain stock at designated locations, both in the warehouse and within the nursing units.
  • Provide daily stock replenishment using FIFO for the par locations and arrange bin locations for warehouse and par utilization.
  • Carry out all RF scanning and cycle counting to systematically update our inventory system with any changes or new materials.
  • Pick, pack, and properly document any shipments leaving the facility.
  • Receive, inspect, and deliver incoming materials, verifying that items received match the packing list and purchase order.
  • Enter stock and non-stock items into the ERP system.
  • Breakdown freight arriving daily, including temperature sensitive packages and high dollar equipment.
  • Maintain a fast pace, but safe, work environment with constant movement including bending, stooping and climbing ladders or step stools.
  • Skill to use a hand truck, pallet jack and forklift as needed. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and move up to 200 pounds of merchandise on a hand truck or pallet jack.
  • Valid drivers license is required to transport materials to various hospital work sites.


Qualifications:

Inventory Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, with additional college-level classes or storeroom, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Previous hospital experience and familiarity with medical terminology and environmental concerns is desirable.
  • This position involves a considerable amount of interaction with internal and external customers and therefore requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
