Product Manager


Job Details

The Product Manager for Suncast products will focus on strategies for growth and stability with emphasis on new product ideas, product maintenance, strategy, market promotions, consumer research, competitive analysis, market trend analysis, and product positioning. This employee may be required to travel up to 20%.


Responsibilities:


The following duties are considered essential to this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned.


  • Lead cross functional teams throughout the entire lifecycle of a product.
  • Build a strategic product plan for specific product portfolios.
  • Drive the vision and work closely with Engineering and Design teams.
  • Perform market research and analysis to support decision making.
  • Identify new business opportunities, unmet consumer needs, and new product definitions.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Manage and grow existing business.
  • Provide product positioning, insight, and materials that align with short- and long-term business priorities.
  • Review monthly performance and determine contributing factors.
  • Create training materials to support new product launches.
  • Determine and recommend pricing and profitability targets based on market research.
  • Stay informed of new technology, methods, and materials within the field.
  • Support and comply with all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods at all times. Suncast policies have been developed to ensure compliance with employee law.
  • This position currently has no supervisory responsibility but is in a position of leadership.

  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Must have 2+ years of product management experience. Must have direct experience with developing new products with Engineering teams.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond clearly and effectively to questions from managers, engineers, coworkers, customers, and vendors. This employee must have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Above average ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in a mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have an intermediate skill level of using and navigating Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
