Overview
Joule has an opening for a Manager in Accounting that will be responsible for significant accounting, transaction processing and review in several areas, such as Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accrued Expenses, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Prepaid Expenses. In addition, this position will support critical activity for month end closings and various journal entry processing. This position will also provide analytical and operational support as it relates to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Responsibilities
Prepares journal entries and various account reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activity.
Assistwith and supports preparation and integrity of General Ledger, including account analyses, account reconciliation, and review of controls governing data gathering process.
OverseeAccounts Payable function (1 direct report) to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice entry and payment, including, but not limited to, management of invoice entry, AP aging, check run process, invoice/ purchase order issues, and performance of AP Coordinator.
Management of 1099 data compilation and accurate and timely filing of 1099 reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
CPA certification strongly desired.
Minimum of 3-5 years successful track record of accounting roles of increasing responsibility.
Prior experience in public accounting and/or experience in a corporate accounting role in a publicly traded company.
Pharmaceutical/life sciences industry background strongly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge/application of
Payroll/401(k), ADP, Dynamics 365, ERP,
GAAP and SOX compliance/related regulations required.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables. Proficiency with other Microsoft applications including Word and PowerPoint.
