Position Summary
The physical therapy program at Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning, with an emphasis on student-learning outcomes. Our graduate assistants play an important role in achieving these outcomes, working collaboratively with program faculty and colleagues as they assist in program operations, hosting open-lab times with first year students, tutoring as requested by the faculty, and in practice opportunities. Graduate assistants must maintain student confidentiality, display initiative, and be flexible with work requirements. This position is for students entering the second year of the DPT program.
1. Provide monthly submissions to Gannon University's marketing outlets, including pictures and other information pertinent to the current status of the physical therapy program and its students
2. Solicit news items from faculty/staff each month to include in marketing submissions
3. Develop program newsletters for publication in December and April, including pictures, information about the Ruskin campus, and alumni correspondence
4. Maintain all social media accounts related to the physical therapy program, including weekly posts to Facebook and Instagram pages
5. Assist in maintaining the physical therapy program webpage
6. Assist with grading assignments as necessary
7. Assist Faculty with administrative tasks including working in job tasks associated with clinical instruction
Career Readiness Competencies: Leadership: Plan, initiate, manage, complete, and evaluate projects to enhance the undergraduate experience within the physical therapy program. Teamwork: Collaborate with faculty and the other GA's to effectively complete all responsibilities and tasks. Professionalism: Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner to accomplish program goals and needs.
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of the first semester of the doctor of physical therapy program, and showing a strong progression through the second semester at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
No instances of academic or professional behavior probation. Experience in copywriting, public relations, or social media/marketing preferred.

Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic environment.
