Requisition ID: 1531About this PositionSasha Bruce Youthwork seeks a motivated and dynamic professional to join its Team at Olaiya s Cradle a residential program for parenting young adults that have experienced homelessness. As part of Olaiya s Cradle, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting formerly homeless parenting youth and their children. Core activities include coordinating and leading parent and two-generation activities in a variety of areas, including stress reduction, parent and caregiver education, and developmental milestone workshops as informed by the Parent as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and ASQ developmental screenings.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and lead parent and two-generation activities in a variety of areas, including stress reduction, parent and caregiver education, and developmental milestone workshops as informed by the Parent as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and ASQ developmental screenings.Recruit and enroll families for parenting programsDevelop social support networks for parents through mentoring and social groupsProvide case management support for a select cohort of clients particularly parenting minorsDevelop and implement a strategy for utilizing a wide array of partnerships with community-based organizations, programmatic partners, corporations, governmental agencies, and cultural institutionsCollect, input, and monitor data, and develop reports or case studiesUtilize Sasha Bruce networks, partners, knowledge, and volunteers to build engagement and multi-sector involvement to ensure the long term success of young parents.Qualifications:Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a related field; such as counseling, psychology, or education.Two years of experience working with low-income families, preferably in an urban settingAt least four years of experience working in nonprofit, human services, or education settingTwo or more years of experience developing, carrying out, and evaluating trainings, workshops, or other programmingExperience connecting families with community assistance resources, including resources related to eviction or homelessness, domestic violence, drug abuse, unemployment, and literacy issues.Additional qualifications include the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and GSuite programs. Familiarity with HMIS and client record management software is also a plus.If an offer is extended, the candidate will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check and/or FBI fingerprinting, as well as other screening as applicable for the position or required by the funding agency.
