In addition to award winning Wine Bar 107, we're adding a NEW full menu dining experience, Bistro 107 at Testarossa. Bistro 107 offers California cuisine with a one-of-a-kind menu, blending classic dishes with modern flavors, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients for guests to pair with our stellar selection of award-winning wines. Located on a charming historic patio surrounded by 100 year old trees, Bistro 107 and Wine Bar 107 offer a unique outdoor dining experience Thursday - Monday. What the Bistro 107 Host does!As the part-time Bistro 107 Host/Hostess you'll welcome and seat guests depending on reservations and level of business within the Bistro 107 of Wine Bar 107 dining areas. As the first point of contact, you'll provide superb customer service to all guests by developing relationships that promote business and product knowledge and ensure brand loyalty. Working at the Los Gatos Winery, Saturdays and Sundays, you will:
- Greet and direct all guests and club members to assigned tables based on reservation system
- Communicate accurate wait times with guests, Lead Concierge, and other Hospitality Managers
- Accurately use Tock table management system, attention paid to seating guested in staggered manner between sections, communicating on table needs with upcoming turns, and adding walk-ins into the system correctly
- Ensure all winery guests have a pleasant experience; assist in various guest needs
- Educate guests about the Testarossa history, wines and winery experiences that are available
- Assist the service team as needed by clearing and cleaning tables
Requirements
- 1 year minimum required in guest service or hospitality industry
- Prefer 1 year of Host/Hostess experience with leadership skills
- Strong communication skills and understanding of hospitality etiquette
- Willingness to learn about Testarossa Winery, our wines, and the experiences we offer
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude during all interactions with guests and colleagues
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Professional appearance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements- Weekend and all holiday availability a must!
- Constant standing and walking in an outdoor environment (all weather conditions)
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Frequent ascending or descending stairs and ramps
