Regional Property Manager


Job Details

We have partnered with a legacy owner/operator in NYC who is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a 3000 unit portfolio throughout NYC. In this role, the Regional Manager will be tasked with team management, ensuring the overall operations, financial performance and management of the properties exceed the needs and expectations of the company, and working to keep all properties in compliance with city agencies.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years managing a portfolio of 1000+ units in NYC, and demonstrated experience with rent stabilization, compliance and property financials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day operations of a multi-property portfolio
  • Ensure properties are well-maintained, and compliant with local regulations and codes
  • Conduct regular property inspections and supervise the maintenance team, repairs and renovations to units and properties
  • Maintain a deep understanding of rent stabilization laws and regulations, and ensure properties are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Service as primary point of contact for residents, ensuring needs and concerns are being addressed and resolved in a timely manner
  • Develop and manage property budgets, working closely with the site teams and leadership to ensure expenses are accurately forecasted and managed
  • Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, implementing cost-effective measures to maximize property profitability and present these measures to leadership.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to property managers, superintendents, maintenance staff and administrative support for the designated portfolio.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings providing a platform for creating and managing KPIs and team metrics
  • Forster a positive and productive work environment, and ensure staff compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in property management, as a Property Manager
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing rent stabilized assets in NYC
  • Strong understanding of rent stabilization laws and regulations, including relevant city agencies and procedures
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and financial reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
