Summary
The Cultivation Technician performs manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, and transplanting. The responsibility of harvesting, hanging product in dry rooms, maintaining the dry room, trimming dried product, and packaging the product to be sold is also performed on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will excel as a team member within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system, and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Harvest plants - cut down, pull fan leaves and hang in a dry room.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize the harvested zone so it is ready for new plants.
- Complete daily cleaning logs.
- Assist in maintaining proper dry/cure schedules.
- Trim dried product and keep records of weights.
- Cloning, clone care, transplanting, moving plants, pruning, trellising, watering.
- Proper green waste disposal.
- General duties around the indoor growing facility as they relate to the upkeep of it.
- Monitoring plant pests and other perils, with a keen eye for spotting issues before they become a problem.
- Follow GMP protocols and follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs)
- Manage cannabis plants, giving each individual plant the attention, it needs.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized work environment.
Supervisory ResponsibilityWork Environment- The employee will be expected to work inside in a controlled warehouse/greenhouse and growing atmosphere and must have suitable clothing.
- Working outside will be required for the disposal of green waste, trash, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Physical Demands- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sit, stand, and squat for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Ability to work within confined spaces.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work- This position runs from 7 am - 3:30 pm, you can expect 40+ hours each week.
- Extra hours may be required for harvest days.
TravelRequired Qualifications - Must be 21 years of age.
- PREVIOUS CULTIVATION GARDEN EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Communication & Time Management Proficiency.
- Self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately.
- Flexible, collaborative, team-oriented person with good communication skills.
- Must be a dexterous, adaptable individual.
- Must possess the ability to execute techniques consistently.
- Must be able to work in a safety aware environment.
- Able and willing to work with and/or around chemicals and pesticides.
Preferred Qualifications- Team orientated, highly motivated in the cannabis industry, and willing to Grow.
- Career-minded individual.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance- There is no visa or H1-B sponsorship. Candidates must successfully complete a criminal record screening or FBI Fingerprints requirements.
- Successful completion of a thorough personal reference check and background check from the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. Note that any applicant with a violent felony or drug-related offense (Conclusion of sentence, probation, and/or incarceration within the past 10 years) is not eligible to become a dispensary agent.
