Global Operations

Accordion is looking for an experienced Vice President of Consulting Operations to join our team. This position is responsible for executing strategic initiatives across the firm that will enable Accordion's consultants. Projects will include large-scale transformation and process improvement, quality risk management, project management, and product management. Additionally, this position will be focused on the following: translating opportunities into project tasks, milestones, and deliverables; managing day-to-day problem-solving; serving as a key liaison between stakeholders across the organization, with the potential to lead varying project teams to achieve key results and support enterprise-wide change initiatives.

This role can be based in our New York, Boston, Chicago, or Dallas office locations and is a hybrid role. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location, with the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration.
What You'll Do:

Operations Innovation & Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies and solutions to address identified issues and opportunities that align with Accordion's vision and core values
  • Using critical thinking and innovation, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of existing and new processes to enable Accordion's consultants to deliver A+ work to our clients
  • Develop and manage Accordion's product management playbook that effectively and efficiently evolves a product idea generated by our practice leaders from concept to market
  • Work with firm and practice leaders to establish and implement product management standards across all practices
  • Conduct internal and external research and analysis on specific issues, projects, and strategic initiatives within the organization, and provide recommendations based on findings
Change Management:
  • Create detailed business cases with actionable recommendations based on thorough analysis of change readiness and impact, organizational culture, and potential barriers to change
  • For projects and programs, define change management strategy and rollout plans, leveraging established enterprise change frameworks to develop an approach that ensures cross-collaboration and creates sustainable change
  • Critically assess the intended and unintended impacts of enterprise-wide projects and programs, providing mitigation strategies for consideration
Project & Program Management:
  • Utilize demonstrated project management experience to manage each project/program to meet and exceed our client's specific needs and deliver results
  • Establish clear objectives on tasks and project outcomes with minimal oversight
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk that could negatively impact project outcomes and timetables
  • Manage and deliver multiple complex project workstreams in a fast-paced team environment
  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams on innovative solutions to bolster the future of the practice
  • Develop knowledge of Accordion's practices and engagement management processes
Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate across diverse functions (e.g. IT, HR, Finance), engaging with stakeholders at all levels to drive a culture of change that results in increased adoption and minimizes resistance
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and teams across the organization, communicate effectively, and influence decision-making
  • Build rapport and adapt to a variety of stakeholder groups
Ideally, You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or IT
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a professional services firm
  • Experience with project management and change management
  • Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, while driving timely and quality execution of all tasks
  • Ability to use data to drive decision making
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Experience communicating complex functionality effectively to client-facing teams
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think through the best, most efficient solutions that meet Consulting Operations business goals
  • Strong research, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 + benefits + bonus

Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
